HELP - Searching & Browsing Listings

Searching or Browsing Shared Items
When searching for "Shared Items" you are searching a database of all the plants and seeds that people have already listed that are available to swap with you.

1. Click on the Search Link at the top of the page.
2. Click on "Search Shared Items" radio button.
3. Enter an optional keyword
4. Click the Submit Button.

If you choose not to enter a keyword, you are choosing to BROWSE ALL listings that are currently available.

The Search Results will give you the following information about each listing:
Photo (if available) , Match Status of the Item, Username of the person who listed the item, Genus, Species, Form, Cultivar or Variety, Common Name, Weight, Share Type, Listed In, Growing Zones, the State the person lives in, and "Add to My Wish List".

If you click on "Add to My Wish List", Busy Bee takes this listing and adds it to your wish list, so that the next time you click on BUSY BEE, it will find this match and present it to you, if that item is still available.

Clicking on any person's Username will show you their PROFILE, including their Honeycomb Rating, and their Feedback.

Searching or Browsing Wish Items
When searching for "Wish Items" you are searching a database listing of all the plants and seeds that people have listed that they are looking for FROM you.

1. Click on the Search Link at the top of the page.
2. Click on "Search Wish Items" radio button.
3. Enter an optional keyword
4. Click the Submit Button.

If you choose not to enter a keyword, you are choosing to BROWSE ALL listings.

The Search Results will give you the following information about each listing:
Match Status of the Item, Username of the person who wants the item, Genus, Species, Form, Cultivar or Variety, Common Name, Wish Type, Listed In, Their Zone, the State the person lives in.

One reason for searching the Wish listings, is to see what people are looking for. Sometimes you will find something that is listed that you HAVE, you can then list that in your Shared Items, and Busy Bee will make possible new Matches the next time you click on Busy Bee.

Clicking on any person's Username will show you their PROFILE, including their Honeycomb Rating, and their Feedback.

How a Search Works
When you run a search, it helps to understand how a search works. Whatever keyword you enter is searched for in the following fields: Genus, Species, Form, Cultivar or Variety & Common Name. If any part of that field matches the keyword, it will be captured into the search results. It will not display your own listings in the search results like "My Busy Bee", however, this is a wider search than in "My Busy Bee". "My Busy Bee" only searches in Genus, Species, & Common Name, which narrows the search for more exact "My Busy Bee" Matches.
